IIT Bhubaneswar Research & Entrepreneurship Park (REP) invites innovators, students, researchers, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, designers, and change makers to develop impactful solutions that advance menstrual health and dignity.

ReFlow: Menstrual Health Innovation Hackathon 2026 is a national innovation challenge focused on addressing critical issues in menstrual health, hygiene, accessibility, awareness, and sustainability through technology, research, design, and social innovation.

Whether you have an innovative idea, an early-stage prototype, a research concept, or a technology-enabled solution, ReFlow 2026 provides a platform to transform your vision into real-world impact.

Hackathon Themes

Each theme is designed to spark innovation, challenge assumptions, and build solutions that create real impact in menstrual health and hygiene. Applicants must apply for one of them

Education & Awareness

Menstrual Literacy through Digital Storytelling

Develop culturally relevant awareness campaigns using digital storytelling, community engagement, social media, gamification, and innovative communication strategies to improve menstrual health literacy and reduce stigma.

Sustainable Menstrual Waste Solutions

Design affordable and environmentally sustainable menstrual waste disposal, collection, recycling, or incineration systems suitable for rural, semi-urban, and urban communities.

Data-Driven Menstrual Health Systems

Build digital platforms, dashboards, or analytics tools that enable governments, NGOs, educational institutions, and healthcare providers to monitor menstrual product availability, accessibility, usage trends, awareness levels, and program outcomes.

Promoting Reusable Menstrual Hygiene Products

Create innovative product ecosystems, awareness campaigns, behavioural change interventions, or distribution models that encourage the adoption of reusable and sustainable menstrual hygiene products.

IoT Innovations in Menstrual Health

Design smart devices, wearable technologies, sensors, connected systems, or digital health solutions that improve menstrual hygiene management, accessibility, safety, comfort, and user experience.

Interested participants are invited to submit their innovative ideas, research concepts, prototypes, products, or technology-enabled solutions aligned with any of the hackathon themes.
